ABOUT

Nick Vale is a New York-based photographer working across portraiture and street photography. His work focuses on atmosphere, gesture, isolation, and quiet moments that often go unnoticed.

Through candid, documentary-style portraits and observational street images, he is drawn to the space between presence and absence—how people move through a city, how light changes a scene, and how ordinary moments can take on a more cinematic or ambiguous quality.

His portrait work is collected under Mono Noizu (the silence between dark and light) while his street photography is presented though Watcher NYC, an evolving visual journal of New York shaped by instinct, observation, and chance.
